The Annual Picnic
The Annual Picnic is an extension of Chef Thia’s Dinner, created to bring people together through food, culture, community, and connection.
For the past 12 years, Chef Thia’s Dinner has been a beautiful tradition rooted in excellence, generosity, and shared experience. In 2026, that same spirit continues with the 4th Annual Picnic, a family oriented day designed to celebrate community in a joyful, meaningful, and welcoming way.
Inspired by the gatherings Chef Thia grew up attending in Haiti, from kermès to foires, journées récréatives, and neighborhood picnics, this event was created to bring that same sense of warmth, togetherness, and cultural pride to South Florida. It is a space where Haitian American business owners, families, friends, and supporters can come together to connect, celebrate, and support one another.
A special part of the picnic’s vision is making room for a wide range of businesses and experiences. Chef Thia makes every effort to avoid repeating vendors, giving each participant a chance to shine while offering guests variety throughout the day.
The Annual Picnic also serves as an extension of the guests, relationships, and community that have grown through Chef Thia’s Dinner over the years. What began around the table has now opened into a larger family centered experience for all to enjoy.
Admission is free and open to the public.
